Role Description
The Computer Operator for Rapid Transcription is responsible for accurately and efficiently transcribing meeting minutes, conference proceedings, and spoken content. The role involves operating transcription tools and computer systems, ensuring high-quality documentation and supporting the smooth flow of information during conferences, meetings, and events. The operator must maintain confidentiality, demonstrate strong attention to detail, and work effectively under time pressure to deliver precise and well-formatted transcripts.
Responsibilities:
- Perform transcription of meeting minutes, conference proceedings, and recorded material.
- Operate computers and transcription software efficiently to ensure accurate and timely output.
- Review, edit, and format transcripts to meet quality standards.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
- Ensure proper file management, archiving, and delivery of completed transcripts within deadlines.
Requirements:
- Excellent computer skills and fast typing speed.
- Strong command of the English and/or Greek language (depending on transcription requirements).
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Previous transcription experience is considered an asset.
